Bird is searching for an experienced content writer to work with our industry-leading team. 


We are an award-winning digital agency offering technical and creative services from offices in the UK, Dubai and New York. We are looking to hear from native English speakers with experience writing copy for websites, blogs and social media. 


The day-to-day role will primarily involve creating engaging content for our ongoing digital campaigns. With this in mind, we are keen to hear from individuals with a good understanding of digital marketing, web design and web development. 

The opportunity would suit an individual who is able to create quality content, rather than quantity content. You won’t just be writing about the same old topics all the time and there will be plenty of creative opportunities for a versatile writer. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

 

  • Researching and creating engaging landing pages, blog posts and case studies to showcase Bird and some of the project work we do;

  • Ensuring content stays relevant and in keeping with our ethos and brand voice;

  • Proofreading and editing content where required;

  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and best practices in digital marketing and web development;

  • Conducting keyword research, competitor and industry trend analysis;

  • Using Wordpress and other content management systems;

  • Communicating with our network of media partners


Job requirements

We would ideally like to hire a writer who has an understanding of digital marketing topics (e.g. SEO, Web Design and Web Development). We can help you develop your knowledge in these areas, but you must have strong written and verbal communication skills. To be considered for this role it would be advantageous if you have:


  • Experience with writing engaging content that ranks well on search engines

  • ​​Methodical planning skills and attention to detail

  • A good understanding on the following subjects
    • Digital marketing

    • Search Engine Optimisation

    • Pay Per Click

    • Web Design

    • Ecommerce (Woocommerce, Magento)

    • Web Development

  • Experience working with SEO tools for keyword research and content optimisation

  • Basic knowledge in On-page SEO (HTML, Meta Tags, image optimisation etc.)
